Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and implementing a training plan for the 2022 summer swim season that inspires swimmers to grow as competitive swimmers in a fun and challenging way.
• Instruct competitive swimming techniques, and observe swimmers to identify and correct mistakes in a positive manner
• Oversee and coordinate swim meet sign up and meet event entries for each swimmer
• Comply with Alberta Summer Swim Association, Alberta Coaches Council, and Swim Alberta’s policies and procedures
• Engage with parents and cultivate relationships to create a collaborative swim team.
• Engage with team members in a positive professional way to establish and create a cohesive team and enjoyable season.

Qualifications:

• Coaching Course-An Asset
• Coaching Level 101 (offered online)
• Coaching Level 201 is an asset 
• Previous coaching experience 
• Criminal record check
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment 
• Current membership with the Alberta Coaches Council (ACC)
• Current membership with the Canadian Swim Coaches and Teachers Association (CSCTA)
